Cara memperbaikinya cukup melalui Registry Editor. Berikut langkah-langkah mengatasi fake serial IDM anda:

• Close semua IDM terlebih dahulu, termasuk yang di system tray icon (pojok kanan bawah dekstop / jika ada)
• Klik tombol START (pojok kiri bawah), setelah terbuka pada kolom "Search programs and files" (atau tekan secara bersamaan tombol "Alt+R"), kemudian ketik "regedit" lalu tekan Enter.
